You can skip the jalapeno if it’s too hot, but I like it for the taste. You can also reduce or increase the amount of ginger, depending on your spice level. Feel free to change the portions around - it all ends up as your personal preference.
Fleure: I would avoid using frozen veggies and fruits. I’ve not tried it but I’ve read they aren’t good tasting, even if you thaw them. I’m sad to hear you don’t have access to good variety of fresh produce where you are. Usually the big supermarkets are the best bet for fresh veggies since they have more traffic and hopefully more variety.
Wally: Are you making the juice yourself or do you buy it? If your getting a metallic taste, then my guess would be that your juicer isn’t clean or is just low quality. But these kind of juices sometimes do taste differently to people and maybe there’s something in there that your taste buds don’t like.
It’s hard to describe the taste, but to me it’s something like a cytrus-apple juice with a spicy kick. Really refreshing in the morning.
well there is a one-and-only place in Frankfurt where to buy good fruit and vegetables, it’s a market downtown, 4 underground stations from our home … the only place in the city where i can find artichockes and things that are NOT roots/potatoes/tomatoes. the only choice you usually see in supermarkets is narrow, it seems germans like everything that grows INTO the earth - carrots, parnsnips, turnips, etc - but nothing that actually use the sun to grow
i guess i should consider my juicer as a quest giver and ill have to go farm “special” vegetables in another zone
Make the trips to the supermarket parts of your daily exercise. Load your iPod with good podcast or books and go to the store. I walk to the store every day to buy produce. May not be considered allot of exercise, but some is better than none. Start small.
